Which Hawaii employers must provide workers’ compensation coverage?
The Hawaii Disability Compensation Division states that any employer other than those excluded, having one or more employees, full-time or part-time, permanent or temporary, is required to provide workers’ compensation coverage for its employees. Hawaii counts temporary and part-time staff toward that one, so seasonal help does not sit outside it.
